Registration for the new of workshops of Jalal Tehrani is on going. The intensive one-semester playwriting workshop will start next week. This workshop focuses on writing a long play by students.During this workshop, each student will write a long dramatic text. According to the new parts of each student's text, necessary training is provided for them.
The other workshops on the registration process are as below:
1. One-semester and online workshop "Theory of Theater directing". This workshop is dedicated to studying the basic concepts of art and the theoretical foundations of theater directing.
2. In-person acting workshop. According to the requirements, this workshop will be held on Fridays, in ten three-hour sessions.
3. Long-term and six-semester playwriting workshop: This online workshop starts with basic exercises in the field of drama writing. The exercises are gradually improved based on the improvement of skills and training of techniques.
4. Acting theory workshop: This nine-month online workshop, with a specific program, studies the history of theater from the perspective of the works of playwrights and directors of different periods, step by step. Students will have a tour of the important points of famous theater works in different periods.
5. Finally, the fourth theater acting course is being booked and pre-registered. A comprehensive course that will begin in the following months.
The exercises of the eleven groups of students to participate in the maktabetehran festival is on going. The finale of this festival will be held in maktebetehran hall with the participation of the students of the directing, acting and drama writing courses, in October. The selected works of the festival have the possibility for public performance in the school hall.
The deadline for submitting plays to participate in the festival's play reading section is next week. All the current and previous students of workshops can participate in this section by sending their written texts. The texts are judged by selected students of drama writing workshops in recent years. The selected texts will be read on the stage of the school hall by the end of the festival in the form of a play reading section.
On Saturday, July 16th, the fifth screening of Jalal Tehrani recorded theaters was held at Maktab Tehran. "Hear the Voice of the Earth" movie theater, which was performed in 2013 at Molavi Theater in Tehran. The text of this work, which was published by Maktabetehran Publications, can be bought in person from the bookstore of MaktabeTehran and online from the school website.
The Tank theater, directed by Jalal Tehrani, which is his newest theater, has reached the final stages of rehearsals and will be performed in the hall of MaktebeTehran. As the public relations of MaktabeTehran announced last month, these days the last stages of rehearsals of this theater are being done. The tank is one of the most famous plays of Jalal Tehrani. He has already performed this play twice in 2002 and 2012. Now, after a decade, he is doing this for the third time; This time with the students of his acting workshops at MaktebeTehran.
